FCC Snitch Commander Bunny Accuses Poet via Email in Classic Misdirection Tactic

UPDATE!!!

Now Commander says I have a "deal" with the FCC, to bust other pirates but not myself!

Gee, Commander, I didn't know one could make such deals with the FCC--
how is it, that YOU know?

Do YOU have a "deal" with the FCC?

(That would certainly explain your ability to go on the air literally every day of the week for weeks on end, like you did in April-May.... wouldn't it?  Your ratio of airtime outnumbered ours by more than ten to one...)

Knowing the circles that we both travel in, it seems far more likely that YOU would be able to broker such a deal, than that I could... (but I seriously doubt that the FCC would consider any such "deal"... unless maybe they could find someone who had TWO extensive mailing list of possible pirates....?)

The guy has worked as a mainstream political consultant and commentator
in his home state.  He knows how to run a pre-emptive smear campaign very well."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I awoke early this morning to find this, among sundry related items, in my Email box:

From "Karl Marx, fingerofdestiny@gmail.com"
Subject: POET IS THE FCC SNITCH

"We've all wondered who was the FCC Snitch who was telling the FCC where pirate operators are located. Well it was POET. He post Commander Bunny's QTH on his blog, then claimed he didn't know it was there. So not only is he a hypocrite, revealing locations of pirate operators, he's a liar to boot.

Get the whole story at:
http://shortwavepirate.info/WBNY/?p=1421 "

((Like so many of CB's ugly rants, this post was later removed))

(*Someone* has been telling the FCC where pirates are located?
This IS news--- well, it will be, if it is true...)

===========================================================

As I felt an explanation was warranted, I posted this response via Email:

From: John Poet, tcsshortwave@gmail.com
Subject: Re:POET IS THE FCC SNITCH

"Yes, there was a comment submitted to my blog which I unwittingly approved, which gave the poster's supposition as to the state of residence of CB, which went something like this:

"...Commander Bunny... driving around the state of (state name) screaming at pedestrians, 'I'm the Whiz, I'm the Whiz"

I laughed at the comment and approved it without fully realizing the significance (if any) that it named an actual state, and forgot all about it. Those of you who have followed us know that I have named my own state of Michigan as our base of operations, for YEARS... and because I've done that for years, I really gave no significance whatsoever to someone giving their own opinion of CB's state (actually, I believed him to be somewhere else, myself). When it was pointed out to me and its removal requested, I removed the comment immediately and admitted I'd made a mistake. (The publishing and removal of the comment in question happened over two months ago.)  Even so, I became a target of abuse from unnamed parties for a number of days who refused to take "yes" for an answer..

As I replied to them, a whole state isn't someone's QTH.... and a comment on someone's blog about what state they think someone is in isn't going to lead the FCC to someone's door-- after all, through long-range direction finding they can narrow it down to a city without leaving their offices. They are well aware of the cities where most of us are based, if they care to know, based on the latest triangulation technology, and not on gossip. Now, if someone had posted his actual city, as Commander Bunny once did to Radio GaGa on the FRN (under his 'Official Press Release" ID, a post which has never been removed) they would have had a valid complaint, but that didn't happen. Meanwhile, they seem to have no problem whatsoever with CB's post which outed a pirate's presumed actual city, proving their own hypocrisy.

Basically, this is nothing but a propoganda campaign against me, undertaken because I chose to express the opinion that I think Commander Bunny probably DID share ebay customer information with Kracker, at least on 'Al Fansome', which Krackr then used to blurt out the presumed address on the air in the summer of 2008.

The evidence points to it... in my opinion.  In that, I'm not alone.

Perhaps folks should ponder the fact that the Bunny Mafia almost always accuse others of doing what they have been doing themselves. Before CB's use of sock puppets on the Free Radio Network website became widely known, he used those same sock puppets to accuse other posters of being sock puppets! Here, they accuse me of posting an anonymous comment to my own blog-- when it is in fact Commander Bunny who has very obviously posted comments to his own blog and Facebook pages to create the illusion of wider support than he actually has. Thus they attempt to discredit others pre-emptively from speaking out against what they, themselves, have been doing.

So now they accuse me of telling nothing but lies... honestly, that's very FUNNY coming from you guys!
Let me know how that works for ya!

and of being an FCC snitch?
Judging from their past behavior and propoganda, I find that to be quite unnerving. Now I'm going to have to worry about just what they have been up to behind the scenes.

The email exchange degraded from there... and revealed that "Karl Marx" was actually Commander Bunny, emailing under yet another new alias.... when he left off citing "Commander Bunny" and just started saying "I".  Yes, having "Karl Marx" email me is quite clever, I can appreciate the humor of that.  Almost like being emailed by God, right? LOL

And the actual email address, "finger of destiny"?
What, I wonder, could Commander actually mean by that?

And what else was said in this email exchange (leaving out the expletives)?
I can assure you, some of it was quite juicy.  You would want to know about this...

Stay tuned, while I decide what I'm going to do with all that...

===================================================

Here's a gem from the Commander Bunny files, which somehow seems relevent at this moment:

"I WON’T PARTICIPATE IN THIS NASTY RUMOR-MONGERING AND HATE SPREADING.
It's gone on long enough. What I will do is make sure everyone on my mailing list knows who is really behind the lies, rumors and cowardly attacks. Everyone is going to know their real names, their real locations and have a complete portfolio on the nasty monkeys behind the destruction of Pirate Radio."

All this hubub kinda puts me in the mood for a song!
Commander Bunny, this one's for you!

  1. Maybe the Commander should call himself the "Fist of Destiny", due to his past involvement with the art of sock puppetry. That would be a more accurate nom de poulet.

  2. What's the big secret? Commander Bunny himself lists his state and city of residence on his own publicly visible Facebook page. Figured he'd parked his hutch outside Billo's one-holer.

I suspect the fickle finger of fnord in this.

  3. Hold the phone, Central. I would rather deal with the civil Internet personality of John Poet, than the Sybil Internet personalities of the Commander..that is if that his name today!

  4. @Guise: Fnord, I had to look it up:

Fnord is the typographic representation of disinformation or irrelevant information intending to misdirect, with the implication of a worldwide conspiracy. The word was coined as a nonsensical term with religious undertones in the Discordian religious text Principia Discordia (1965) by Kerry Thornley and Greg Hill, but was popularized by The Illuminatus! Trilogy (1975) of satirical conspiracy fiction novels by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson.[1]

Ah, yes, Commander Bunny is the KING OF FNORD!

  5. Doesn’t the Rabid Rabbit realize that he as much as admitted his guilt on his blog?

He states: “I don’t have the list, the Ebay seller has it and she doesn’t share it with me or anyone.”

Then he goes on to say: “The “internet personality” who allegedly had his real name exposed, did in fact order his t-shirts under his internet personality name. ASK HIM!”

So … obviously Bunny does have the list. Did he share it? Of course!

I notice Bunny has deleted some of the content accusing Poet of being a FCC snitch.

The truth is … only one person has gone through a great deal of trouble to collect as many real addresses and names as possible … Bunny.

And who has a proven track record of trying to eliminate competition in an attempt to completely dominate pirate radio? Bunny.

Does anyone really believe that it is coincidence that 2 of the stations busted were more popular and prolific than Bunny? (If so, I have some lovely ocean-front land in Alberta that you may wish to consider for your retirement.)

Who has spent the past few months spreading paranoia about a FCC crackdown? Bunny and friends.

Is there a crackdown? Of course not. If there was, the bureaucrats would be issuing NALs, publishing notices, etc. Instead they are doing the absolute minimum CYA … doing a visit because they had a specific complaint.

Finally, who started a thread with the theme “How terrible it is to out a pirate” just two days after the first major bust? Bunny and one of his friend’s sockpuppets. A more crude, transparent attempt at disinformation I have never seen. Made me sick to my stomach.

Who is the real FCC snitch? It sure as hell ain’t Poet!

  6. Ding Ding Ding! We have a winner!

This has *always* been about CB trying to clear the playing field of any and all competition.

Although he doesn't seem to be doing any broadcasting right now, should he return to the air, my advice would be to ignore him. Don't post loggings of him, don't send him reception reports. Just ignore him. Without the feedback (positive only, of course) and attention that he craves, perhaps he will eventually go away and leave the rest of us alone. He is a scourge on the pirate radio community, and the sooner he is gone, the better.

  7. I just want to know: is CB's sock puppetry properly called "fisting"? Oh, wait, that means something else... Or maybe not!

  8. Let me ask you folks a little question.

How can a guy operate several pirate "stations" from home over 25 years on a near weekly basis while living under 5 miles from a FCC Field Office and never get busted?

Something smells on the Chesapeake and it's not the shad run.

  9. On the Chesapeake?

    Or in Chesapeake?
